Taurasi Wine | Aglianico's Finest Expression

The Barolo of the South

Taurasi represents the pinnacle of Southern Italian winemaking, earning its nickname "Barolo of the South" through decades of excellence. This prestigious DOCG from Campania's mountainous interior showcases Aglianico at its most noble and profound.

The terroir is exceptional: volcanic soils rich in minerals, high-altitude vineyards, and significant day-night temperature variations create perfect conditions for slow, complex ripening. Here, Aglianico develops intense aromatics and firm structure while maintaining remarkable finesse.

Modern Taurasi combines traditional depth with contemporary precision. These wines display complex aromas of dark fruits, black cherry, leather, and tobacco, evolving into fascinating tertiary notes with age. The mandatory aging requirements, including at least three years before release, ensure wines of remarkable complexity and aging potential.

For collectors and enthusiasts seeking world-class reds, Taurasi offers exceptional value compared to other iconic Italian wines, delivering similar complexity and aging potential at more accessible prices.
