CAMPANIA

Land of volcanoes and ancient vines

Campania is a treasure trove of extraordinary wines, with a winemaking tradition dating back to the ancient Romans. The territory, dominated by the influence of Vesuvius and the Phlegraean Fields, offers mineral-rich volcanic soils that give the wines a distinctive character. This unique geological heritage, combined with varied microclimates, gives rise to wines of great personality and complexity.

Taurasi: the great red wine of the South

Aglianico, the region's leading grape variety, finds its maximum expression in Taurasi DOCG, considered one of the greatest Italian red wines. Powerful, structured, and long-lived, this “Barolo of the South” offers notes of ripe red fruits, spices, tobacco, and extraordinary minerality. Alongside Aglianico, the region also produces other interesting red grape varieties such as Piedirosso (Per' e Palummo) and Sciascinosa, which contribute to the richness of Campania's wine scene.

Whites with character: Fiano, Greco, and Falanghina

Campania's whites represent the excellence of southern viticulture. Fiano di Avellino, with its aromas of pear, hazelnut, and smoky notes, Greco di Tufo, mineral and structured, and Falanghina, fresh and fragrant, constitute a triad of DOCG and DOC wines of extraordinary value. These wines, characterized by great freshness, aromatic complexity, and surprising aging potential, are capturing the attention of enthusiasts around the world.
