Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut DOCG “Prior” 2024 - Bortolomiol

At the eye it shows a bright and intense straw yellow color; the perlage is subtle and long-lasting. The nose spectrum shows fruity notes of green apple, peach and plum, well blended with floral aromas of wisteria, lily of the valley and aromatic herbs. On the palate it strikes for its great freshness and agility; it’s dry and with a good balance between savory and acidic components. It closes with a moderately persistent finish.

It’s the ideal wine for an aperitif, where its frankness makes it suitable for a large number of recipes and preparations. Excellent with seafood, it goes very well with lard croutons.

The "Prior" bears in its name an unquestionable truth: Bortolomiol was in fact the first company to make Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG in the Brut version, when all the other wineries were still making it exclusively as Extra Dry. Thanks to Giuliano Bortolomiol’s spirit dedicated to experimentation, who with this Superiore DOCG brings to the top shelf of the company production. The glera grapes ferment at a controlled temperature in steel. Then the second fermentation is carried out and the wine rests for 1 to 3 months. A fine bottle without any smudging, where the aromas on the nose are fragrant and the mouth is agile and refreshing: an opportunity to be seized on the fly, to taste a truly exciting label.
