Sicilia Nero d’Avola DOC “Cartagho” 2020 Magnum - Mandrarossa (cassetta di legno)

Intense ruby red with reflections tending to purple. The bouquet offers deep elegant sensations of wild blackberries and marascas. On the palate it is full and well-balanced with notes of dates and aromas of maritime pine. Excellent persistence.

Throughout the meal, it pairs well with roast or braised dishes of red meat, game and aged cheeses.

With a line dedicated to its most representative vineyards Mandrarossa wished to celebrate the richness and uniqueness of the land of Menfi. A particular large area where quality vine-growing has always existed and where some crus are genuine products of excellence. The vine known as Carthago grows for example just to the south-west of the residential area in a place with perfect exposure ideal for the production of a great wine suitable for ageing. Thus the Nero d’Avola, fermented only in steel vats and left to mature for about 12 months in barriques, manages to express itself best creating a wine of great depth and elegance, captivating and enduring, always capable of surprising.
