Chianti Rùfina Riserva DOCG “Nipozzano” 2022 - Frescobaldi

Ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet is floral with clear aromas of sweet violet that dominate the fruity notes. Followed by aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant and black sour cherry accompanied by hints of liquorice and spicy notes of nutmeg and white pepper. The first impact on the palate is warm with a marked taste of tannins. The texture is decisive, a characteristic typical of Chianti Rùfina. Long persistence.

Throughout the meal, it pairs well with grilled red meat, roast lamb, young pecorino cheese.

An ancient fortress defending Florence until the year AD 1000, the Castle of Nipozzano is the most famous and historic property of the Frescobaldi family. Popular tradition has it that the word Nipozzano means “without a well”, supporting the fact that the area lacks water, a circumstance ideal for growing vines. Left to mature for about 24 months in first and second passage barriques, it is a complex intense fine wine which can maintain a solid tie with the style of the territory.
