CAMPO ALLE COMETE

A world suspended between Heaven and Earth, where you can let yourself go, guided by bright stars, and walk in a wonderful reality, as if made of the stuff of dreams. Ancient scents, childlike images and an imaginative reality: the name already conjures all of this, bridging a dimension in which flavours and aromas combine with the emotions of the vineyards. This is Campo alle Comete winery.
Located in the heart of the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, with its 16 hectares of vineyards, it represents one of the most interesting and fascinating wine-growers in the entire Bolgheri area. It all began on a well-defined project, in which tradition and know-how were going to be combined with poetry and imagination. The goal was to amaze people with unique wines. Tuscan stronghold of the Feudi di San Gregorio’s wine group, Campo alle Comete was born from the dreams of this consolidated company to make wine in one of the most prestigious territories of the Peninsula: Bolgheri. In the vineyard, the rows stretch out in the middle of the Livorno Maremma, and the plants are caressed by the enveloping breeze that blows from the Tyrrhenian Sea towards inland. Organised as if to form a sort of amphitheater, the plots take advantage of a temperate climate and particularly favourable to viticulture, while the vines, with an average density of 7 thousand plants per hectare, grow on balanced and rich soils, farmed fully respecting the environment, the nature and the ecosystem. Merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot, but also syrah and vermentino, are processed in the cellar interpreting and enhancing what the vintage and the territory have been able to express in the fruit. Lastly, the wine “Stupore” cannot go unmentioned, being the most representative of the winery’s ability to work its magic.
