ANTICHI VIGNETI DI CANTALUPO

Owned by the Arlunno family for over 500 years, Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo currently boasts 35 hectares of vineyards, located between the municipalities of Ghemme and Romagnano Sesia. The undisputed star is, of course, Nebbiolo (known here as Spanna), which accounts for around 80% of the vineyard area. It is accompanied by Vespolina and Uva Rara for the red grape varieties and Chardonnay, Arneis and Greco di Ghemme for the white grape varieties.

In perfect harmony with the company's philosophy, this family-run business operates with respect for the environment and the enhancement of the terroir and territory, offering products that are as genuine and expressive as possible. Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo Ghemme “Anno primo” is the first wine produced by the company as we know it today and dates back to the 1974 harvest.

It was in that year that the Arlunno family's business took on the charming name of Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo, expanding the vineyard area, replanting the old vines and building a new winery in line with the new company plans, focusing particularly on the vineyard and the production of Ghemme DOCG and Colline Novaresi wines.

The work in the vineyard and in the cellar is in line with this ideal, blending tradition and innovation in a successful attempt to offer authentic and intense wines that are capable of exciting and effectively communicating the wine-growing heritage of this land.
