Mendoza 2020 - Cheval des Andes

Brilliant ruby red colour. On the nose, the notes are initially mineral, and then evolve towards vinous and fruity tones. In the mouth it’s full-bodied, fruity, mineral, very balanced and long, constantly leaving an aftertaste of ripe fruit.

Excellent when paired with second courses of red meat or with grilled pork ribs.

The vintage 2019 of this Mendoza wine by the iconica Cheval des Andes winery is a unique product obtained by blending two vines originating from Bordeaux, malbec and cabernet sauvignon. Selected grapes, de-stemming and fermentation at a controlled temperature are among the first steps in vinification. The ageing takes place in Burgundy barriques (partly new) for about 18 months. A full-bodied and elegant red from Argentina.
