Alto Adige Chardonnay DOC “Sanct Valentin” 2022 - San Michele Appiano

Straw yellow colour with golden reflections and a bouquet with pleasant hints of vanilla, apple, peach and pineapple. On the palate it is rich, sinuous, perfectly balanced with a certain freshness and marked acidity. Very persistent with a slightly fruity finish.

For the entire meal, the Chardonnay “Sanct Valentin” pairs well with rich pasta dishes, especially stuffed pasta. Ravioli stuffed with bass.

A wine with international appeal, produced only in certain years and with a meticulous selection of grapes, Chardonnay “Sanct Valentin” is a wine that stands out for its supple elegance. Fermented and left to age only in wood, it captivates and amazes with its clear aromas of spices and a freshness that perfectly balances its profile on the palate. This Chardonnay is very long and can be refined for a long time in the bottle if kept properly in a cellar. Using only the best grapes from the municipal area of Appiano elegant complex wines with exquisite hints of minerals, elegant aromas and excellent potential for ageing are created. Every single bottle, whether white or red, is a unique pleasure that demonstrates the constant commitment of the San Michele Appiano Winery to excellent quality. The name is taken from the “Sankt Valentin” aristocratic estate dating from the 15th century where in 1986 the winery was first established, thus creating new standards for the wine producing culture of Alto Adige.
